Danstheater Aard is een danstheatergezelschap waarin dansers tussen de 7 en 53 jaar met elkaar verbonden zijn. Individualiteit, gelijkwaardigheid, improvisatie en contactimprovisatie spelen hierin een grote rol. Lijven zowel klein als groot, sterk en kwetsbaar krioelen samen over het podium. Speel, speler, speelser. Beide studeerden zij af aan de bacheloropleiding Docent Dans ArtEZ te Arnhem. De eerste wortels van Aard groeiden in 2014, toen ze hun gedeelde fascinatie voor (contact) improvisatie ontdekte bij een gezamenlijk project. Na het zien van een inclusieve voorstelling, raakten ze geïnspireerd om met verschillende leeftijden te werken. De bijzondere connectie tussen de dansers raakte hen. Er werd gesproken en gedroomd. In 2018 trokken ze de stoute schoenen uit en stonden met beide voeten in het zand. Het begin van Aard. Een energieke voorstelling afgewisseld met sensitieve gevoeligheid. Rollend in aarde, tussen de bomen en door het gras. Een succesvolle voorstelling waar machtsverhoudingen centraal staan. Macht gaat over het sturen van anderen. Leiding nemen of juist volgen. Het gaat over je eigen grenzen en die van een ander bewaken of overtreden. Ga je erin mee of niet? Macht is krachtig en kwetsbaar tegelijkertijd. Deze fragiele balans tussen macht en onmacht vormt de voorstelling Vleug. In deze voorstelling laten we de kwetsbare liefhebbende kant van macht zien. Een voorstelling waar er ruimte is voor lucht, energie, vluchtigheid en verbondenheid. Om te vliegen, te vallen en te ervaren. Danstheater Aard was aan de start van het creëren van een nieuwe productie toen Covid-19 plots voor veel beperkingen zorgde. Roeiend met de riemen die voorhanden waren is Danstheater Aard op zoek gegaan naar de mogelijkheden in onmogelijke tijden. Na een aantal weken lockdown en veel digitaal contact hebben we onze repetities buiten op gepaste afstand voortgezet. Op mooie plekjes verschuild tussen struiken, bomen, gras en zand gingen we op ontdekking. Daarbij werden we door verschillende muzikanten ondersteunt, die ons niet alleen begeleiden maar ook deelnamen aan de improvisatie. Het resultaat was een prachtige presentatie waarbij het samenspel tussen muzikanten en dansers centraal stond. De weerbarstigheid waarmee de elementen van de natuur met ons speelde maakte het een onvergetelijke afsluiting van een bijzonder seizoen. In het inspiratie weekend wordt de opgedane kennis en inspiratie uitgewisseld. Ongeacht de taalbarrières, de leeftijdsverschillen en de variatie in voorkennis van de deelnemers, zullen we dit weekend ons eigen, kleine, interpersoonlijke paradijs creëren. Samen werken we vanuit beweging toe naar een paradijselijke staat. Het ‘paradijs’ wordt verkend, ervaren en ontwikkeld in de ruimte tussen beweging, aanraking / contact. Het weekend wordt afgesloten met een presentatie in het Vestzak theater. Dit project zal fotografisch vastgelegd worden. De foto’s worden geëxposeerd in Nederland en Duitsland. In deze bijzondere tijden wordt het project aangepast aan de mogelijkheden rondom het Covid-19 virus. Dit project volgen?
